Planning a trip to Shepherd's Bush and was looking to buy an off-peak day return (£32.90, Network Railcard, Any Permitted Route). Booking sites indicate the ticket includes a Maltese cross, but don't give what I expect would be the most direct route, from Kings Cross-St Pancras underground to Shepherd's Bush Market via the Circle/H&C line then a walking transfer to Shepherd's Bush LO station. I assume this is not permitted but just wanted to confirm this is the case? Many thanks in advance!

Wouldn't a ticket to London Zone 2 do this?

The ticket seems to be a point to point ticket to Shepherd's Bush NR.

Though, from practical observation to the LU gateline staff, they would just waive through this kind of ticket as NR ticket rules are too complex (usually they judge by "reasonable route" principle instead).
Any non-NR integrated LU station wouldn't get NR ticket fare rules training in in their fare training

That clears that up, thank you!
Take the Central Line from Stratford Main to Shepherd's Bush LU would be your best likely.

And the ones that are do? TfL gateline staff are hopeless with anything other than a Travelcard or at a push a Maltese cross.
