Ashford International 7 car stop signs.

Maybe I have been blind for the past few months but I noticed these signs at the down end of platforms 5 & 6 yesterday. They are 1 carrige length behind the 8 car stop but as 7 car 375 formations have been stopping at the 8 car stop board for years why have these appeared?
Also why do 11 car formations (08:53 ex Charing Cross) not have 11 car stop boards.
P.S. 101mph through Paddock Wood yesterday on the 08:53. Shame its going next year.:cry:

Id guess its to do with the 2015 timetable when Charring Cross trains no longer split at Ashford and Victoria to Caterbury West Services use platform 5/6?

If the 7-car stops on the 8 mark and the 3 car is country end , the 4 car at the back is over the AWS magnet.
the 7-car marks have been there for years.
