Went for a Morning / Afternoon at the beach and I saw a lot of trouble @ Margate.
Is this normal? I get there is an event this weekend with Dreamland etc

But earlier as I was leaving the station, I saw an ambulance after some kids tried to jump the fence over platform 1.

But earlier as I was leaving the station, I saw an ambulance after some kids tried to jump the fence over platform 1.

Didn't see any actual trouble but the last time I arrived at Margate (late-morning, mid-week) there were a *lot* of security staff hanging around, possibly outnumbering the passengers!

There were 3 staff and then suddenly about 6 more turned up. Then Kent Police and then an ambulance.
its weird, everytime ive been to Margate, something happened while I was there at the station.

I saw an ambulance after some kids tried to jump the fence over platform 1.

I'm guessing South Eastern had revenue protection out in force and those kids didn't fancy paying.

The sort of hot weather currently being experienced brings people out to the coastal stations because they follow the crowds to head to the beaches.

Not a new thing unfortunately, I can remember it being rough on summer weekends during the 90s. Like most things I can imagine it will likely be worse now.

There's been an outbreak of yoof causing aggro in Planet Thanet recently, with police dispersal orders now in place. Teenagers coming down from the Maidstone / Medway area I heard.
