Arriva XC 220017 // Toton // Birmingham

just updated the site with the following collections from today
1)
37417 with 0Z27 hauling 92042 and 90028 to Toton from Crewe IEMD
Then 37417 returning light engine to Warrington
67016 AND 67023 working 6K50 Toton - Crewe Engineers
A view of various locos at Toton
Photos from Birmingham New Street this evening
2)
220017 worked the following in its New Livery today
1V07 0655 Derby [DBY] to Bristol Temple Meads [BRI], 1E40 0959 Bristol Temple Meads [BRI] to Newcastle [NCL], 1V71 1522 Newcastle [NCL] to Weston-super-Mare [WSM]
170520 also has temporary Branding on its Carriage Side.

Hmmm, is the side on the AXC Voyager black or purple? On the official pictures, it looks like a horrible purple colour, but on your pictures it looks a much better colour.

to be honest, i think theyve done quite a cheap job of it.
because in the day light it looked quite "brown" IMO which would leave me to beleive theyve slapped to cheap black paint on and the red from the VT bits are seaping through :P
its still i nice livery... deffinitely didnt seem purple to me

Was it you that was on platform 4c taking a picture of the 90? If so take a closer look for someone in a cream coat built like a brick hit house and someone in a blue coat :-P

Great photos - been desperate to see these liveries!

I like the EMT livery lots - very very swish. And it would have to have been nice; what it replaced wasn't bad either.

AXC isn't that special, but I think it's an improvement on what was on them before.

The official colour is named Warm Black!!!! although it does look distinctly plum, or brown depends what light its in
