E400 MMC 4551 appears to be back at Derby was on loan to Tamworth.
Yes, it went for a test on Friday at derby so I assume it’s staying at derby now.

It is indeed! It’s 7102, the first one to be fully finished. 7104 is not going to be far behind from what I’m told, it’s having the finishing touches done in the MRC.

Certainly looks like it, immensely better than the current livery. I couldn’t take any pictures as I was driving when I saw it.
Did another E400 MMC come to replace 4551 when it returned?
There was one in Tamworth operating the T22 this afternoon, it took me by surprise as I didn't even know the route existed until I looked at the display on the MMC to work out what route it was on!
Looks like it's tracking as SP TH on bustimes.

Yx72oef is doing this at the moment. It’s probably there for type training for the new e200 mmc’s. And also training for camera mirrors too.Yeah TZ2, in fairness it looked like T22 and I wear glasses!

it's 4562 on loan from Luton to provide the TZ2.
It was probably the closest they could borrow from at the minute. Derby doesn’t have anything as modern and Leicester/hinckley are already short of e400 mmc’s.

and one swapped off the 158 onto the 127 . . . .
I’ve seen that the new E200MMC’s due for Tamworth have started to arrive at the depot now with 2157 (YX26JZM) and 2158 (YX26JZN) arriving this week.
The long wait for new buses at Tamworth is nearly over, hopefully they will be in service very soon!

That’s good news. Means that some of the oldest buses there will finally be off to scrap now (or knowing Arriva probably cascaded elsewhere)

The hoppers are replacing the B9s, think they’re all being painted/refurbished currently so Derby should have some in the darker blue.
Some B9s are meant to be heading down to Luton, not sure why.

Seems to be 11 Geminis. And they say they are short of deckers.

10 Geminis, 9 Hoppas. Hardly a big shortfall.
Midlands are due 36 EV DDs in the next 5-6 months, so plenty of opportunities for a reshuffle to replace the 35 deckers in the MidShires fleets that need replacing.

Leicester also have 4 E400s (4400/4401/4424/4425) which could be freed up (and return 4400/4401 to their sisters in Derby) when the single deck EVs start to arrive in the coming months.
