It's interesting that the Leicester Buses livery on Arriva buses has the darker green section stop at the bottom of the lower deck windows whereas the First variant has it all the way to the bottom of the bus.

So - even though they're going for alignment they're still different!

They all stop just below the windows on them.

First's one finishes just within the advert frame area on the nearside which gives the appearance of it being longer.

On the Arriva version the dark green section finishes just below the lower deck windows, above the body panels. It also on the roof extends all the way to the front giving a different appearance to the First bus, which is lime green on the full front, compared to the darker top section at the front for Arriva.

The First bus may not actually be in the new Partnerships standard livery as that is what they have carried from the start whilst the new partnership livery was introduced in the last month. It lacks those colour flashes with slogans below the window (which are above the window lines on the singles as per the Kite & Yutong at the launch) or the Leicester Buses on white between the decks the Arriva bus has on the photo - it is also different around the front roof dome and other minor details.

Ah, you're right. We've got a new livery only a few years after introducing this one. Queue many years of different painted buses! As it's such a subtle change it seems like it wasn't really worth the bother!

Can't be totally sure but it is probably, aside from the base green which is unchanged, almost entirely vinyl for the details so it shouldn't be a full repaint to make the adjustments though since that difference is minor if you just add the missing bits the passengers probably wouldn't notice the minor differences.

A staff member yesterday mentioned that the rota at Derby is full, and that they’re therefore being made redundant if they don’t wish to TUPE over to NCT.

A Telford driver tells me a number of new Volvos are due in October for Telford possibly primarily for route 4. Can anybody confirm or correct any of this?

im a driver at telford and i haven't heard anything about that yet, although when shrewsbury lose quite alot of their work in September and november, their PVR will decrease by over 20 so their volvos may come over to us

Hopefully not since the evoras are decent buses.. maybe you can have the optare solos instead!

I'd assume they might get the opportunity to transfer to 'Hotspur' or stay at arriva, not sure though

Derby Pulsar 3714 has been withdrawn, just seen on Bustimes and at https://ibb.co/m3z59MB, don't know the reason though. How many Pulsars has Derby lost now due to chassis rot or other issues? I seem to have lost count.

The next stop announcements have been switched on on some of Tamworths Citaros, the only issue is you can't actually hear what it's saying over the noise of the engine and the bus shaking it's self to pieces...

its the same with all of our buses in telford that have the announcements working, defiantly need to be turned up a bit, good to have when they work however

New buses are due in October, but not Volvos. They might be late though as the builders of the buses keep going on strike!

the size of them probably makes being able to hear the announcements more difficult, seems to be that way to me anyway

So ADL crap, lovely, if it's going to be E200MMCs for route 4, I'm sorry but they will not handle peak times well, the Streetlites already get full on route 4 at peak times and you cannot board, and sometimes they put Enviro200's on that route which is even worse at peak times!

Is 4214 / FJ58 KXN withdrawn at Derby? According to bustimes it has not been out for some time.
