I’m on it currently & must say it’s 1000x better than 3511/12, it’s got some poke & a really lovely turbo whistle.A friend on route 4 in Derby will be so disappointed...He tries to avoid the current pair.

Last time I saw it as Ascot Drive, I thought it was on a one way trip for scrapI’m on it currently & must say it’s 1000x better than 3511/12, it’s got some poke & a really lovely turbo whistle.
I believe 3511 has the front N/S corner from 3505, but yes when I saw it I thought it was for part stripping.Last time I saw it as Ascot Drive, I thought it was on a one way trip for scrap
Arriva, Sapphire branded VDL 3736 is on the 1C service, circa 11.43 ex Derby, today. Seems to be double tracking as 3738

And 3736 seems to be tracking in Tamworth today. Presumably it really is one of the Citaros. I wonder if more are to come and this is the start of the withdrawal of the OmniCity's.Presumably released from Tamworth after they’ve received MAX liveried Citaros 3914 and 3920 from now closed Aylesbury and Wycombe.
edit: Sapphire new liveried VDL 3737 tracking on the X38 in Derby also
3738 is double tracking again so I assume 3736 is still in Derby, will keep an eye out for it today. And 3736 seems to be tracking in Tamworth today. Presumably it really is one of the Citaros. I wonder if more are to come and this is the start of the withdrawal of the OmniCity's.
That’s a shame, 3801 was Derby based for a while & it was a really nice vehicle.Barwell based VDL Pulsar2 3801 caught fire not far from the depot earlier today.
The damage looks severe, so potentially a write-off.

I wonder how Trentbarton will react to Arriva running 4 buses on the X38?New x38 timetable has been put on arrivas website. It seems to be practically the same just 5 minutes earlier than it was!
Yeah it passed me yesterday on Skylink around 1:50pm. I think it'll be because its still tracking in Tamworth so people assume its still there.Someone on Bustimes reckon that Arriva Midlands VDL Wright has not transferred to Derby yet, because it is still working in Tamworth... Strange, on Monday it really looked like bus 3736 was working in Derby. Here is a picture of it arriving into the bus station on route 1C.
I don't think they will like it. Might lead to them improving the service to attract more passengers on their journeys (new/refurbished busses, wifi ect.) Will definetly be interesting to see how it works out especially if trent keep their part of the service itll make the burton terminus quite busy with bussesI wonder how Trentbarton will react to Arriva running 4 buses on the X38?
I assume that 3736, Tamworth version is a Mercedes Citaro, transferred from High Wycombe.Yeah it passed me yesterday on Skylink around 1:50pm. I think it'll be because its still tracking in Tamworth so people assume its still there.

Also with more evening buses until 2155 from Derby and 2225 from Burton Monday to Saturday. These will be 5 mins ahead of the trent Friday/Saturday extras.New x38 timetable has been put on arrivas website. It seems to be practically the same just 5 minutes earlier than it was!

Timetables for the 1/1A, 5/5A are also up. See the 1/1A drops to every 15 mins on Saturdays from every 20 at the moment.
Yes I imagine so. Same with the 5S which will be the 5/5A on Sundays. Did try the 7 page as well but it came up with error 404!On the 1/1A/1C timetable theres nothing about a 1B either so i assume itll be released later and more closer to the date since they are probably still doing the timetables.
As well the arriva x38 timetables go later than the current ones however not the full night service that trent offer
If, as suggested, it was returning to the depot it would suggest that there was a known fault with the vehicle as the bus from the TZ2 typically goes straight into Leicester for the TZ1 (which appears to have not run this morning other than the final little bit).Looks like a write off.
There's a photo is in the local rag.

I thought that was the reason it left Derby, to share the joy.Tamworth-based Wright Streetdeck 4600 seems to be a troublesome machine, BusTimes suggests it hasn't been out since May.
Wasn't it a test vehicle for euro6 standards?Tamworth-based Wright Streetdeck 4600 seems to be a troublesome machine, BusTimes suggests it hasn't been out since May.
I am liking the fact it will serve the bus station now saves me the long walk to hope for a X38 and settling on a Villager or V3 at least now I can pick my poison as they say. Given the new times is it a wholy Arriva ran route now or will Trentbarton still have some trips?New x38 timetable has been put on arrivas website. Walked past Tamworth depot yesterday it was over a pit, I do hope it is brought back though.Tamworth-based Wright Streetdeck 4600 seems to be a troublesome machine, BusTimes suggests it hasn't been out since May.
At least you made a profit. I'd have thought thr 127 would've got the green treatment by now, although not sure of you'll repeat it. Best I've got was a 50p on a stagecoach E400Arriva using battered old Enviro 400's on the Leicester 127 actually worked out well for me the other day. I caught one to go to Loughborough, the ride quality was appalling. It was lurching and bouncing all over the place, was very hard to stay in my seat upstairs. The driver gave up with it in Quorn, and turned everything off and told us to wait for the next bus.
From my lofty position upstairs i noticed a £10 note fluttering down the pavement, nobody else did. So i bounded off the bus and claimed it.
So i now want the heaps to keep going on the 127 as long as possible!
Nothing new there! Has always been troublesome at Derby and at Tamworth. Seem to recall it received an engine overhaul or something along those lines last year but clearly didn’t have a lasting effect. Despite now being 10 years old the E400s carry on day in day out on the 110 to their credit, although normally accompanied by the fans on full blast, the noisiest buses you’ll see in Birmingham nowadays!Tamworth-based Wright Streetdeck 4600 seems to be a troublesome machine, BusTimes suggests it hasn't been out since May.

God it was a right shed at Derby, constantly being towed back… I believe it was one of the first streetdecks off of productionTamworth-based Wright Streetdeck 4600 seems to be a troublesome machine, BusTimes suggests it hasn't been out since May.
Now talking of Wrightbus, I was rather surprised Arriva Derby had so many Streetlites. Maybe it was a buy one, get ten free deal.God it was a right shed at Derby, constantly being towed back… I believe it was one of the first streetdecks off of production
It is said that Trentbarton will still be running some form of X38 service, presumably related to their current service and from Victoria Street rather than the bus station.I am liking the fact it will serve the bus station now saves me the long walk to hope for a X38 and settling on a Villager or V3 at least now I can pick my poison as they say.
