I often see quite a few people on the Arriva X38 to and from Derby bus station. One has to wonder how long it will last against the Xprss38 and its every 15 mins frequency.

Are there enough passengers paying money, to cover 6 buses an hour, though? Ones I see on the A38 , I sure don't see many passengers. Is it a good use of resources? We may never know. I guess Arriva will be using brand new Enviro 200MMCs on it, in a few weeks.Half hourly is probably profitable. Every 15 certainly is. When walking through Derby, Arriva seem to be carrying more passengers than TB.
The forthcoming arrival of extra electric buses, did get a mention on the local TV newsI was told a couple of weeks ago that a handful of Wright GB Kites for Leicester were at Derby depot.
8600 has begun tracking again on Bustimes, so is likely back from its recent trip to Liverpool.
I thought the 3175 to 3199 batch were destined for DerbyYx76hrr is now in service at Tamworth (3176)

What is the future of the remaining diesel deckers at Leicester?
Could 4400/4401 return to Derby?
Some of the 72-plates will be staying in Leicestershire for the time being as neither the Hinckley depot nor the Coalville outstation have charging facilities available, and both have requirements for deckers, particularly Hinckley's 158 and also often Hinckley's X84 and Coalville's 15, 16 and 29s.I would assume the two 09 plated vehicles (4428/4429) that continue to circulate will go for scrap? As for the 14/15 ones they'll probably carry on somewhere and the 72 plates maybe go to Derby?
Seems to be several buses registered between YY76 HHP and HHU.Just seen a picture. It is actually YY76 HHR

AFAIK Hinckley have 7 E400mmcs permanently based with them. Some of the 72-plates will be staying in Leicestershire for the time being as neither the Hinckley depot nor the Coalville outstation have charging facilities available, and both have requirements for deckers, particularly Hinckley's 158 and also often Hinckley's X84 and Coalville's 15, 16 and 29s.
I thought 3175 were destined for Derby, with them replacing VDLsWhy are these in a different fleet number series, the initially delivered batch are in the 21xx series?
Potentially some are filling in at Tamworth before their 3 extras are delivered, unless plans have changedI thought 3175 were destined for Derby, with them replacing VDLs
The last I heard, the plan was for anything younger than 2022 to be moved out of Leicester, with some YX72s staying in Hinckley & Coalville. Also some rumours of the WF Streetlites moving again next year, their replacements are unknown at this point.I would assume the two 09 plated vehicles (4428/4429) that continue to circulate will go for scrap? It’s a legal requirement now anyway, doesn’t matter how long they’re staying, with them still being in service they need them fitted. Some of Tamworth's Versa fleet have had next stop announcements fitted, does this suggest some may be hanging around a bit longer?
We have 6 allocated to Hinckley, with 5 for the 158 and 1 for the X84 for the morning school journey. If we ever have more (like right now where we have 8 ), that’s only because of one (or some) of our buses being at Thurmaston for service/MOT/long-term repair, so that’s what we get given in return.AFAIK Hinckley have 7 E400mmcs permanently based with them.
Coalville depot has electric facilities installed but they are for the Robert's P&R fleet and their electric coaches.

The new 31xx batch are full length 6 Cylinder ones and the 21xx are mid sized 4 Cylinder onesWhy are these in a different fleet number series, the initially delivered batch are in the 21xx series?
These are slightly longer and have the 6.7 litre 6 cylinder engines. Why are these in a different fleet number series, the initially delivered batch are in the 21xx series?
Seems to be seeing use on the 110 along with some of the other new MMC’s now too, presumably they’re on it covering for some of the E400’s.Yx76hrr is now in service at Tamworth (3176)
