Arriva 142 on holibobs

Just had a message off at mate at Stevenage to tell me he's seen an Arriva 142 going through his local! Appears to be 5Z42 Cardiff Canton - Doncaster via all sorts of places!

Thought I'd post this for a laugh! Anyone seen a 142 at Reading recently?

That would be a fun run up the ECML.

There is a regular Northern ECS working up the East Coast from York to Heaton Depot near Newcastle, with a pair of 142s blasting along the fast line, quite an unexpected sight.

Bit like the early morning Chathill service which runs fast from Morpeth to Alnmouth or those 142s which run Darlington to Newcastle on the ECML, bet that is a fun ride at pacer speed

I think they're confused... if they're sending a 142 to South Yorkshire, surely it should be to Rotherham...

Yeap! Saw the pacer trundling through the freight yard at Acton Main Line. Was wondering what an Arriva pacer was doing outside it's usual territory.

They go to Wabtec, Doncaster for C6 Exams. Usually goes up on a Monday and back on a Friday
