Around Paris by TGV

Hello again all. I'm curious: I recently travelled Lille to St-Pierre-des-Corps (Tours) by TGV, and wondered what route we took around Paris between Marne-la-Vallée and Massy TGV? In fact, I think we took a different route on the return trip, because we clearly passed over RER Ligne C through stations I don't recall seeing on the outbound trip.

And am I right in thinking there are plans for a dedicated link between the TGV lines south-west and east of Paris? They could certainly do with it, as the journey was very slow in both directions ... we even had the cleaners get on in a tunnel outbound!

Just wondering.

TGVs use the LGV Interconnexion-Est high speed line from Marne-la-Vallée as far as Valenton, then switch to use the classic Grande Ceinture line and Choisy - Massy line via Orly Airport as far as Massy TGV before switching to the LGV Atlantique high speed line towards St-Pierre.

If you got all of that above, then have a look on this track map and follow the route around from Marne-la-Vallée (G4), go left at the Bif. de Presles (G6), when you get to the Racc. de Valenton (E5) follow the yellow RER C line via Pont de Rungis – Aéroport d'Orly to the Bif. LN2 at Massy TGV (D5) and join the LGV Atlantique.
