Are Trains Cleaner This Week?

I'm not using trains this week, but (judging by local buses in Sheffield) it looks like there are no Metros being published this week (?)

If this is the case, has anyone noticed whether trains are any tidier/ cleaner than normal?

I like the way metro moans about there being no trains on Christmas day or Boxing day but then have a week off themselves!

Possibly. A lot of employees take the 3 working days between Christmas and New Year off work while some offices are shut altogether. This would mean this morning when it was very wet here less people would be putting their wet footprints on the train floor.

I remember a few years back when Metro did publish Knutsford having around 50 Metros left in the afternoon on one of the 'working days' between Christmas and New Year when usually the supply had disappeared by 08:45.

So what you are saying is because there was no demand a few years ago they dont bother publishing them any more!
I wonder if the same sort of thinking could be used for any other (transport) industry?

Off topic, but it was very weird during the October storms seeing hundreds of Metros still in the stands after lunch time at my local.

If we are talking about external cleanliness, I wonder if the amount of rain might have something to do with it?

Seriously - the automatic washers are very good at moving the dirt around but not removing a lot of it from the carriage sides; heavy rain on the other hand will provide not only a dislodging force but also a downwards clearing away ability.
