Are tickets from Docklands (Dublin) valid back to Connolly?

I bought a day return from Docklands to M3 Parkway a couple of weeks ago. In the evening, trains from M3 Parkway go to Connolly instead of Docklands. Are you allowed to use it back to Connolly?

If so, are you allowed to go to Connolly in the daytime even when trains are running to Docklands?

I don't think it should be a problem. I know a ticket to Connolly is the same price as one to Pearse and Tara Street. There is city centre fare as it were. You could time your arrival into Connolly at the same time as Enterprise due in or out and use the doors for that, and thus avoid ticket barrier.

Ten years ago I had a ten journey ticket for school that was valid between Balbriggan and Connolly but was able to use it to Pearse and beyond to Sandymount.

Tickets just say City Centre on them so should be OK to any of them. Would Grand Canal Dock count as city centre?

Don't think so. City Centre is usually between the canals. It's building is outside the canal. But then so is Docklands.

The ticket I got from the TVM at Docklands showed an origin of 'Docklands' rather than 'City Centre'.
