Are direct rail services replacing 47's engines

I was told that they are putting new engines in because the old ones leak oil and are not efficient

Sounds like you don't trust the person who told you...

Did they give you any kind of details of the engine that would replace it?

Yes but I have forgotten one detail of why they are going to replace them is that they were always leaking oil I do trust him (I do not know him) its just that I want to know whether anyone else knows about it he said he used to drive them

Not heard anything about their 47s being re-engined, I had assumed they were for the scrap line after the 68s were settled in. However I had heard something about their 37s being possibly re-engined..

maybe it is the 37's maybe I just heard him wrong but i'm sure he said the 47's are being re-engine d

Ok I remember him saying that there were having all sorts of problems with fuel leaking power loss and oil leaks ???

Perhaps it's the alternate meaning of "engine", referring to a complete locomotive, and referring to 68s replacing 47s?
