Are any fares available online only as e-tickets?

...is anyone aware of any fares that are only available as e-tickets, and not as TOD/CCST (ticket on departure on credit card stock)?

Are there still paper ticket options for RailSail to Hoek van Holland? Can't say I've ever seen anything other than e-tickets used on this route both in person or on the internet.

Some TOC "Friends and Family" schemes are setup as e-ticket only.

The GWR Family advance tickets used to not be enabled for ToD (they are now). They were still available for postal fulfilment/ticket office issue (as CCST), though.

Transport for Wales Multiflex (a carnet system). Originally M-ticket only, then e-ticket was added to the TFW app. I'd guess other operators might be doing similar with that style of product.

Not E ticket only, but I think flexi seasons are ITSO (smartcard) or S-ticket only.

Is there some kind of paper issued to let you complete your journey in the Netherlands? Presumably a UK e-ticket wouldn't be accepted on the Rotterdam metro.

I've not done the route since the line at Hoek was converted to metro - what entitlement for travel in the Netherlands is still part of the ticket. When I did it they gave you two day tickets for NS, which was great, I just bought a ticket from the machine at Hoek and used the day tickets for travelling on other days.

It no longer includes any travel on the Dutch end.

Hare Fares? I don't think they were able to be fulfilled to ToD.

This is going back maybe 7 or 8 years, but I remember being at Birmingham New St and trying to buy a single to Nottingham from a TVM, which was happy to show me XC Advance fares but couldn't sell them, saying they were online only. Ticket office couldn't sell them either.

I got it as an e-ticket wich I think was the only fulfilment method offered, though I couldn't swear to it. I remember because it was the first e-ticket I ever bought and it took about 15 minutes for the email to come through with the actual ticket - another two minutes and I'd have missed the train.

The XC restriction was their site only nothing to do with fulfilment.

Northern's Super League Day Ranger might be e-ticket only.
That's how it was fulfilled to me via the app, never tried via the website so not sure if the option for TOD is there.

unless it's changed in the last year, if you book a single from Hoek to 'any Greater Anglia station', you don't even get a ticket - your ferry booking confirmation acts as, I guess, an authority to travel. Though having done it a few times I don't remember encountering a ticket inspector on that journey.

It states it must be printed out to act as your ticket but a lot of people don't. I think they're niche enough to not really matter.

Seatfrog Secret Fares come to mind
Oh yeah, this makes me think about the Avanti Superfare ticket, which can only be obtained via email as a PDF.

Not an actual ticket for sale, but the Railway200 museum free ticket is also only on QR code e-ticket. The code is only 5 characters long, shorter than the usual 6-character code on regular selling tickets, but it still works to pass through the station barriers and grant entry at the railway 200 train museum's designated time slot.
