Are there plans to add more trains, or close Ardwick station, at all? Theres only about two or three services that stop there on Mon to Fri only.

What does everyone else think?

Personally I would close it. Its in a sorry state as itis.

There were plans to close it, alongside Reddish South and Denton, but they came to nothing. It is easier to give it its basic service than close it.

That's the problem - it is seen as too much hassle and a waste of time to go through the process of closing a station. Might as well leave it as it is, still provides some sort of service to the 500+ people that used it 2008/09.

It is so hard and long a process to close stations that it's easier for all concerened to keep it open ( how long did....was it Pendleton?....)

Hasn't it been kept open in case the area surrounding Ardwick station is redeveloped at some point? It would seem silly to close it and then have to go to the expense of reopening it a few years later.
