Applied a railcard discount when not entitled to

I agree with other forum members and would pay the settlement asap to prevent the matter from escalating. If the case ends up in court based on what you've told us you would lose and you would have to pay far more than £181 in fines, surcharges, court costs and compensation. In addition you would have a criminal conviction.

Is that what you really want?

Whilst it is based on their time on the case, the £175 fee is also a deterrent. Would you stop evading the correct fare if they just allowed you to pay the £6? Or even if they put a £25 fee on top? I doubt it.

Finally paid the thing and I want to thank all of you guys so much, without all of you I would of probably not paid and would of got myself into more serious trouble so you guys are amazing at helping people and the things you do. It looks like West Midlands Train rarely let people off and they do actually take all these cases seriously (also looks like they are the most on job). Kind of hurts but it is what it is and I learnt my lesson. I might not talk to you guys again (in a good way) but thanks for the advice and help, appreciate it.
