Application under consideration - Network Rail

Hi guys,

Just looking for some info I currently have a application in for a operative role which is at the stage ( under consideration for assessment 2 ) can anyone shed some light on this stage as I have not had any correspondence from NR, also with this particular role is it hard to get entry with no background in rail or any working experience on tracks? Would it be fair to say it’s rare for network rail to recruit with no experience?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks the for reply guys just giving it a check eachd day, hopefully hear back soon, and in terms of having no rail background in you’re experiences have NR hired folk with no industry background?

Unfortunately as you have applied for a huge company they have loads of applications.But as said before on this thread it all takes time on the railway it’s always been like that.Yes you do stand a chance with no experience as you will be trained up for your position.
