application form help please! :-)

Hi, I am in the process of filling in an application form for east midlands trains. One of the questions asks 'Have you attended any safety critical assessments for the rail industry before?' I have never worked in the rail industry before but I have attended & passed the driver assessments/psychometric tests but Im unsure as to whether that would apply as 'safety critical assessments' Can someone point me in the right direction? Would hate to mess my application up by answering incorrectly! Thanks in advance!

Not sure to be honest, IMHO the best thing to do would be to mention it in your application form that you've already sat the driver assessments/psychometric tests...HTH

I believe it would be deemed as a 'Safety Critical Assessment,' so tick 'yes', then write what the role was, the assessment date you took it and your result on the line below.

I submitted my Depot Driver application on Friday, and am now filling in another for the 'Senior Conductor' role. lol

Thanks for your replies, much appreciated! Im applying for trainee depot driver im waiting for a DM interview date with Greater Anglia but think I could be waiting a while! So applying for as much as I can!! good luck!!

Can I ask whether you printed & posted the application or emailed it? Im not great with computers and Im having difficulty trying to convert the application form in order for me to fill it in online, my writing is a bit untidy so would rather email it printed than fill it in by hand!!

I filled in mine using Adobe Reader's 'Add Text' options, then digitally signed it, before emailing it back.

It's a bit of a painful way to fill in the form, aligning text boxes and that, but, like you say, it certainly looks neater than my handwriting. lol.

My previous East Midlands Trains application earlier this year was handwritten, then posted, but I remember being so worried that they wouldn't receive it, so now I've gone all digital.
