Anytime Day return

Hello all

I have an Anytime Day Return for a trip from Birmingham to Aberystwyth. I was wondering if I would be allowed to stop off at Shrewsbury for a pint or two on the return leg? My journey would be - Birmingham to Aberystwyth on the way out; and Aberystwyth to Shrewsbury, then Shrewsbury to Birmingham on the way back. Any ideas?

The ticket permits break of journey and Shrewsbury is on the permitted route, so yes this would be allowed.
