I'd be genuinely interested as i cannot remember exactly when the service was suspended in fact i thought it was still running can anyone help me out here?
13/05/2022 was the last dayI'd be genuinely interested as i cannot remember exactly when the service was suspended
They were running until the end of the HSTs, then continued being run using voyagers until the next timetable change. Would have been May 22 if I'm not mistakenI'd be genuinely interested as i cannot remember exactly when the service was suspended in fact i thought it was still running can anyone help me out here?
Sounds about right - I used the Leeds-Derby service once or twice, but now that the HSTs are gone, there isn't any need for EMR to operate to Leeds. They were running until the end of the HSTs, then continued being run using voyagers until the next timetable change. Not quite, it lasted a bit longer than the EMR HSTs did, using Meridians in the last few months. The EMR HSTs were based at Neville Hill, which is why they ran to Leeds, so EMR to Leeds was scrapped after the HSTs were withdrawn.
They never ran again after Covid.Without wanting to completely hijack the thread, but were Scarborough services withdrawn around the same time?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but do they not run during the summer? Sure I saw a few heading to Scarborough last AugustThey never ran again after Covid.
Under the franchise model, where the marginal operating costs were moderate and they could more than cover this with the generated revenues (let alone reduction in lost revenue through overcrowding), it was easy enough to justify such extensions. Was there no value to run these services to Leeds/Scarborough/Burton on Trent other than operational convenience?
