The last few days I can't get any results to load when using Trainsplit on my MacBook Air. It still works fine on my iPhone, so I have no idea what's going on.

It lets me enter my criteria but then the little multi-coloured line thing just keeps scrolling across the top of my screen and never loads any results.

I think I'm on the current version (not the Beta), as even when I put Trainsplit (rather than clicking on my saved app) in Google search it's the same page that comes up. I've tried disabling ad blockers but that didn't work.

Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing the same problem. Haven't noticed anything when going on any other websites.

Do you know what Safari/macOS version you are using, by chance? I'm on the latest versions (macOS Sonoma 14.5/Safari 17.5) and it all works fine for me, but I think I have an idea of what is happening if you are using an older version of Safari here...

Oh, right, thanks. I admit I haven't upgraded to Sonoma yet, it seems to take mega gigabytes of data and many hours so I've been putting it off. If that's the solution I'd better bite the bullet!

My theory is we've got something in the code for the site that was only added into Safari 16 and newer versions, which means as long as you have macOS 11 or newer you should be fine (maybe with a browser update), but I must admit the way Apple update their browser really annoys me at times :D. I believe it only comes with macOS version updates so if you haven't updated it in a long time it's possible you've missed the version with this feature, but I can't say for definite. I've only had my laptop for a year and I also run the macOS beta so I'm always running the latest.

If the issue is what I think it is, I've raised a ticket for discussion internally, but it is always possible there is something else going on. Updating would be a suggestion but I can't guarantee it would fix it I'm afraid!

Thanks again. I've kicked off the Sonoma update and will leave it to do its thing overnight. Will report back tomorrow, all being well (or not, as the case may be).

19/05/24 YES! Took all night but now working again. Thank you so much for the solution, and for prompting me to do what I should have done ages ago.

I believe a fix was also written to try and make it work on older versions. Sounds like it has worked!
