Spotted this on Ebay today and thought I just had to share it: Some talented person is selling a complete 00 Gauge 2+7 prototype HST, modified from RTR items, it looks pretty good!

If I had the money available to splash out £150 (as the above HST is currently going for) on christmas presents for all the regular members of this forum then I could probably afford to buy myself a 12 inch to the foot replica of the prototype HST!

Even at its current bid-price (£156), it's good value against making the rake up ones-self. The purists might want the Mk3 bodies to accurately represent the actual prototypes - Hurst's brass overlays are linked below - although that's a tenner per coach, plus another respray / numbering and lettering. At speed, I think it looks rather splendid.
