I just wondered if anybody was going anywhere nice this Easter?

I went away last Easter, and I'll be off again next, but not this year!

I'll be HST spotting at Stevenage though! :)

I was thinking of Newcastle, but decided against it. Better to go in summer instead.

Newcastle is great, very warm here at the moment! A great spot to see the EC is found here

Not far from Newcastle either, you get a full view of Tyne Yard too!

As for me I've just passed my test so i'm been ushered into driving everywhere over Easter!!! However I am planning to visit NYMR for thier 125th Anniversairy of the Pickering to Whitby line! I may have to drive but only in the direction of a railway:D

If anyone's stuck for something to do on Good Friday we have a York Pub Crawl arranged. My current plan is to be there, the ELR and on a SRPS tour that weekend.

Can't get out of it, unfortunately! Well I could, but it won't go down well with the family!

Been for a week to Ullapool, heading for a day trip to Newcastle with a mate on Wednesday - hopefully meeting another friend down there

Meeting a friend who moved down towards Durham last year, seeing the tanks at Jarrow/Pelaw, visiting the Metrocentre and possibly heading into Sunderland

Looking like a weekend round my uni town, probably doing work since I have final year project due in soon after and with all the bank holidays we have this year, working round the time is going to somewhat interesting!

Hoping to go to the West Midlands Day Ranger on Easter Saturday though, all being well :)

Sounds like some people are just getting their Easter holidays; I actually go back to Uni on Monday :( Combination of the late Easter, early exams, and some more teaching to fit in. So I've not been anywhere, nor do I get to go anywhere.

Those of you who are lucky enough to get away; enjoy yourselves!

If you don't have transport you're probably best to stay at Pelaw to see the Jarrow tanks. Bit of a walk to the sidings from Jarrow Metro station and you're not guaranteed a good view with the work on the new Tyne Tunnel going on.

On a train somewhere in Europe
Going nowhere this Easter, nice week of nights.

Please don't feel sorry, much better off at work away from the madding crowds and I get a couple of days in lieu to have when it suits :D. The only fly in the ointment is the lack of an Overground / Bakerloo service for most of that week meaning that I'll probably have to drive - hopefully most of the "weekend only" drivers will not be out at the times I need to travel.

I've got both BLS Trent Explorers over Easter Saturday/Sunday, and have a whole host of planned days out to choose from between now and Summer (just got to get my PRIV back first!).

Not quite Easter, but I've just got back from Aberdeen and Stonehaven. Plenty of HST mileage (43310/290 going north and 309/308 going south). Also got my first image of a Peregrine Falcon while out on the cliffs (if it turns out).
