So I'm getting an interview for the Croydon Trams sometime in the future. Any advice you could give me about what makes a good tram driver, or any tips about the role in general (or progression options)?

Feel free to pm PM me if it's too specific to put on here

Cheers

I'm not a tram driver but I want to say that I take my hat off to the guys and girls that do that job. I think it must be harder than train driving and is nowhere near as well paid. You have to deal with idiot motorists and pedestrians too. I'm sorry I can't help with the interview but just want to say good luck to you and respect to all tram drivers.

Thanks SlimJim. To be honest, I'm favouring the prospect of tram driving over trains because you don't need a mile to stop the things! I already deal with the aforementioned other road users when driving a bus so little change there
