Any train sites that takes Paypal for payment?

Does anyone know if there are any Rail booking sites that can use Paypal to pay for Tickets?

I know MegaBus take Paypal.

And i wouldn't of thought any TOC would. As you need a bankcard to collect tickets.

Just checked Megabus and they dont take Paypal.

I know they were going to have Paypal but still not set up.

Interesting the Lady in my local Stagecoach office in Cheltenham said they did!

I don't think it is worthwhile for TOCs to accept PayPal when they already accept all cards (Visa Electron partially excepted) in general circulation in the UK. PayPal charges a merchant fee of up to 3.9% which is probably double or more what they pay to their banks, and can get "rather difficult" to work with.

Just to add to what island said, Paypal are also not classed as a bank, and as such, funds are not protected whilst with them, and they are not subject to regulation. Therefore it is actually quite a risk from the TOC's point of view.

The risk is the same (to the company) whether using paypal or normal CNP processing (using a 3d secure product (verified by Visa or Mastercard securecode) gives them more security).

Off-topic, but its worth warning people of the dangers of these electronic money providers - of which paypal is one. When paying via them, you do NOT have the same level of protection that you do when using your credit card direct.

I was more referring to the (albeit slight) risk of the company going into administration, but I see your point
