Especially anyone that's lived there since the late '70s?
A friend of mine fits this bracket and recently posted this on Facebook:
I'm haunted by Craig Charles' words on his funk/soul radio show last Saturday... he played this song (below) as a request for someone from Peterborough who said they always enjoyed doing the special dance to it down the discos in Peterborough. Craig Charles said he'd never heard it!! NEVER HEARD IT!! I thought he was pulling my leg when he said it must be a Peterborough thing... Now I'm thinking - WAS it just a Peterborough thing? Please put me out of my misery...do you know this song?! It's played at every b****y wedding (and yes, everyone does the dance).
The song is question is by Len Boone and it's called 'Love Won't Be Denied', released in 1978.

So if you're from Peterborough, do you know this song?
If you're not from Peterborough, do you know it?
If you're from elsewhere, are there any songs that are incredibly popular but only in your area?

Peterborough isn't real. Nobody lives there because all the buildings are just frontages like in "Blazing Saddles". It is essentially a three-dimensional version of a "Trap Street".
