My father worked for quite a few companies in the Manchester area in the 80's and 90;s.

He passed away a couple of years ago now but i always remember him telling me about a character called Pat keely who owned a small company around the hyde area. And had a pd2 or pd3 as his own preservation project. One day dad reported for duty but no bus was available so dad suggested the Pd with one of the yard/office lads as a conductor. All i can remember was the route was based out of Stockport Bus station and Dad did 5 round trips in it and was photographed on many occasions.

What was the name of the Bus company and would anyone know the reg number of the Pd so i can search Flicker etc.

Many thanks in advance

Location
Considering a move to Memphis
that would be Tame Valley Motor Services.

Looking at my records, the PD2 would have been AVT493A (originally 917DBO).

I probably have some photos somewhere of Tame Valley , but not of the PD2.

[ though I do remember taking a photo of it with it's previous operator Prestatyn Coachways in 1984 ! ]
