Hey guys, I've got a friend who has failed the VSE test once and failed today on the MMI interview.

Sadly OPC have told him the VSE counts as one strike and today counts as a second. Only life line they have given him is if a TOC/FOC don't do the VSE test he can have another crack at them.

I drive for EMR and I'm pretty certain we don't use that test, anyone know of other companies that don't use it?

TPE don’t use VSE, I don’t think Northern, LNER or XC use it either. I know Avanti and Freightliner do use it though. Hope this is of some help.

Cheers Ecbbs1912, I'll pass this info on to him. It's good to know the driving door isn't closed to him yet

I failed VSE with SE. The administrator there told me VSE doesn’t count towards the two lives, as that is the enhanced element.
