Oh, here there and anywhere
Hi , I bought the how to become a train driver book from amazon. It gave some good tips but dont use it as gospel. Photocopy the tests but dont look at the answers until you need to and just keep practising. Try the library for books on mechanical comprehension etc. There is a download for the group bourden test, it will be here somewhere. I found that the test didnt help as it was on computer but it did help me to recognise the way the dots are grouped for the test. The traditional bop-it helps with reactions as does guitar hero. Hope this helps, good luck.

How to become a train driver book. Available from amazon to buy as a book or download to your kindle/iPad.

Barrons Mechanical Aptitude and Spatial Relations Tests if your not very good at basic mechanical workings. Such as how cogs, pulleys, levers and electric currents work.

I also believe the "how to become..." have a website which you get access to more practice tests and bordon exercises for a monthly subscription. (£9 pm) my mate did it as a one off before his driver assessment. Although I believe it's free elsewhere.

And of course this forum.

I have also applied to FCC, but have an assessment next week with DBS as I had already booked this in advance. Does anyone know if numerical reasoning tests are included these days or is it just mechanical comprehension?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Orbit I did the assessment with DBS in 2010 and its pure mechanical questions, no numerical reasoning bud. Of course if you want to make absolutely sure you can ring them and ask.
