£44,797 per annum without core routes & traction

We're looking for fully competent Train Drivers to join our centre at Leeds.

You will be required to drive CrossCountry trains to current operating standards and provide safe customer service at all times.

Our Train Drivers don't just drive our trains they are the technical and operations specialists within our teams that deliver the high standards of on-train service expected by our customers. Variable shift work and lodging maybe required.

There is no restriction on eligibility for applications except that existing Drivers may not apply until they have occupied their present post for 18 months following completion of all training, including examination and route learning.

- Your reason/s for applying

- Confirm you have 18 months or more driving experience

- You live within 1 hour of the location you are applying for

- Your previous customer service experience

The vacancy above has been advertised but there is a thread somewhere here with people who applied last time and are still on hold.

They sign the Anglo/Scots route - ie Scotland to Cornwall, although I do not know exactly how much of it they sign. I think it's Edinburgh to Birmingham, but I may be wrong.

They sign Voyagers (220/221) and HSTs

Yes there is a existing thread about this (http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=154358) and from what I have briefly read, it does seem like people were being held in a pool of some sort.

They certainly do Derby to Newcastle (plus diversions - Toton/Old Road/Tinsley/Rotherham/Barnsley/Pontefract Baghill/Castleford/Adwick/smattering of others, Neville Hilll & Crofton.
As for the others I'm not sure, Edinburgh certainly go to Leeds but I'm not sure if Leeds go any further north than Newcastle. Equally at the south end on account of Derby depot covering Bristol - Newcastle and New Street not going north of Derby I don't know if Leeds go past Derby (I'm pretty sure Newcastle don't) but if they do they more than likely sign Hams Hall/Alrewas diversions as well and a remote possibility of Leicester & Castle Donington
