Just when the US were trying to suggest that the rest of the world was not managing airport security, there has been a second breach at JFK airport in New York.

A man entered a secure are, set off an alarm and then disappeared.

Here is the item as well as how an 8 year oild girl got on the No Fly List, and how the Christmas Day terrorist actually had a return ticket, which was obviously known about at the time and now removes a lot of accusations that the US made towards the Dutch.

From what I can gather America is again taking the view that Terrorists can't come from within the states. That was their undoing on 11/9, the terrorists took domestic flights where there were few security checks. Its also risky because a transatlantic flight approaching the states will be light on fuel, whereas a fully tanked transcontinental flight would do a lot more damage

What surprises me is why the US has instigated all the extra security measures (wisely or not), yet nobody has asked the question; why are we so sure nobody would do this for a flight bound to the UK?

How does out intelligence service know that the terrorists are only interested in making it to the US? We're hardly high up on the Christmas Card lists of these countries! Has anyone forgotten 7/7?
