Apologies in advance, as I guess people have already answered many similar questions...
My son is coming home the week before Christmas, and booked an advance ticket to get the 1832 York to London on Christmas Eve. Obviously that's a strike day and, pending the timetable coming out, I guess there's a fair chance of this train not running, especially if I use this Saturday (17th) as a template.
Looking at the LNER website, I read it that he could rebook the train, or also that he could just get on any old train that's running from the 23rd to 29th. Have I read that correctly, or am I applying some wishful thinking to the situation ?
