Well Yesterday(Saturday) I had another great trip from York to Sunderland and back again.

We should have left York at 10.15am but it was running some 25 late but not sure what the reason was and have to say there was a good number of people on board.

We go to Sunderland some 35 late but some of that was waitting for a platform at Sunderland.

the trip back to york should have seen us leave at 5.30pm but moved about 10 feet and the train stopped and could see the driver running down the train towards the rear power unit as there was a problem with it so we waitted at sunderland for about 15 mins while they sorted out that problem.

so off we went and got to H/pool and again due to problems to the rear power unit there was another wait while the driver sorted it out.

not sure what the problem was they just said that there was a fault with it.

we got as far as Thirsk and there was another problem!!!

A girl who was on board the train had to have the 999 services as she was on the platform shouting her mouth off and not being a very nice person put it that way!!!

i asked a member of staff and they said she may have had to much to drink or had taken some drugs and she was a kid,it makes you sick dont it.

So got to York some 30 mins late i think it was in the end after making up some time on route.

Im not sure way but on this Train the on board staff seem to Panic about things.

Do they get into trouble if it runs late or something as i dont really see any reason why they need to panic really.

so again in all a great trip as the problems we did have were out of there hands.

I'm not quite sure about 'panic', they probably want to reduce the delay though as AFAIK every delay minute costs them a certain amount! Plus they don't want the passengers to be delayed if they can help it!
