Another failed 70

Looks like another failed 70, 70003 was hauled dead south through Bingley tonight complete with its full load by a 66.

Another ?? I thought they had improved considerably recently.

Have they been in use on the S&C then? Or was this some form of trial?

there have been a couple in use up the s+c, apparently the next 6 are being bult with "severe modifications from the first 6"...

Wasn't that always the plan though. First 6 used to iron out the faults then the remainder built to the modified spec to allow quicker utilisation of them when delivered.

i presumed that as well, but seen as though they have been struggling with reliability problems quite a lot recently...
