Once again passengers have had to evacuate an ATW Pacer formation due to fumes inside the carriage. Not as dramatic as the train on fire at Caerphilly a few months ago but it's not good. It's not uncommon to be on an ATW Pacer lately and have the smell of fumes accompanying you throughout the journey, windows open or not.
Will Pacers make it to 2019?

Wales Online said:Passengers had to get off a train at a Cardiff station after fumes were reported in a carriage.
Some people were reporting it was a fire, but Arriva Trains Wales has said it was fumes coming from the train's exhaust system.
The passengers on the train from Treherbert were asked to get off at Cathays train station, and the train has been taken away for maintenance.
An ATW spokeswoman explained: " Fumes were reported in the rear carriage of the 7.45 Treherbert to Cardiff service this morning.
"The fumes were coming from the exhaust system.
"All customers disembarked the service at Cathays and the train has now gone back to the depot for maintenance. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
Passengers took to social media to complain....................
