"ANONYMOUS" Seat Reservations

I'm currently on an EMR Meridian, and I've noticed that while most seat reservations are as you expect (e.g. "Reserved from Nottingham to Kettering", "Reserved from Leicester" etc.), there is one seat in my coach where the reservation listing is prefixed with ANONYMOUS in block caps. I've never seen this before and was wondering why it would be there, and also if any other train types/operators have it too?

Isn't it still (sometimes) possible to have the passenger's name displayed on the above seat reservation display?

Once got this done for me when booking a ticket and reservation on the then notoriously busy 1900 London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly (Friday) service.
