Hello,
I'm considering asking for a refund for my annual season ticket as I would like to cycle to work instead and don't need it. I do have some questions related to this.
Is the correct way of calculating the refund I would get by substracting the amount of weeks I used it for.
IE: In my case, the ticket costed 628£ which is 15.7£ for a week when you used 40 weeks. And I've used it for 16.8 weeks which is 263.76. So 628 - 263.76 - 10 (admin) = 364.24 is what I should get back?
Another question is that I paid this with a company cheque, I've asked them before if they would send the cheque to me or my employer and they said they needed a confirmation from the employer if it should be sent to me.
I've have got that confirmation in an email which I can print out, as my employer said it was easier I got it instead and then paid them off as the amount would be lesser than what I owned them anyway.
Does it take long for train companies to send you the cheque, this is South West Trains?
I was supposed to get free tickets when I bought this annual ticket, but I have not got them yet, if I do get them can I still use them if I have refunded my season ticket?
My Oyster card is attached to the gold ticket, will I require them to remove this for me?
Is the cheapest annual ticket (which gives me a gold card) this route? Ryde St Johns Road (RYR) to Ryde Esplanade (RYD) for 164£? Can I walk up to my local station and say I want this with no fuss?
