Hello everybody

I was wondering if you might be able to help me. I allowed my brother to use my annual gold card and he was stopped by an inspector (please I know this was silly and I would appreciate if I don't get any negative comments).

They have filed a report and have said he is of course going to get a fine. They have also taken my railcard which means I can no longer use it.

Can anyone on the forum please advise me what will happen now to my goldcard, will it be confiscated? Will I lose all the money I spent on it? Do I face the chance of getting in trouble legally. I have looked at the terms and conditions on the card and it doesn't provide me with any information.

Thanks in advance

Not sure exactly what will happen as I don't know which company is involved, but the terms and conditions state that it is not transferrable and that the ticket remains property of the train company.

It is quite likely that you will not get it back as you have allowed it to be used fraudulently.

So does that mean I also don't get my money that remains on the ticket? It was with Southern. Am i likely to get in any legal trouble? Also, will the rail company write to me and let me know they have confiscated my card?

Ok thank you for your response and time, I do appreciate it and I understand that I have now most likely lost the privelege of the season ticket through my own fault.

Any advice Matt you could give me on whether I am likely to face further action from the rail company?
