Annoying Direct3D

Hi, I've just downloaded the simulator BVE but it doesen't work and says it needs Direct3D. I have no idea where to download it from. I have tried to download other stuff but the windows file assosiation thing keeps coming up.
I feel like my head is gonna explode!
Any help would be good.

If its the download im thinking of you get it from the microsoft website

Direct3D should update itself with automatic updates, but the latest that I know of Direct3D 9 IIRC

You're sort of right. It is a part of DirectX, which is available from MS.

Install that, let us know if it works or not

Still not working. It says cannot initialize Direct3D
