Annoucment recordings needed

hi everyone,

I have a voyager train on my computer for one of the simulaters. I am keen to install my own annoucements into it (or rather my mate is due to my computer skills being limited). Hopefully the end resuilt will be when the train leaves the station an annoucment will follow saying where the train is going.

To do this i need some annoucements recordings. This can be done using the voice record on a MP3 player or on a phone.

If anyone has any or can get me any while out and about partically for XC trains would be most greatfull. Just drop a comment and i'll give you my email address to send the file to.

I have some pendo ones on my phone (the 'bing bong' is the same), though as they are phone recorded they are AVI format (yeah, god knows how to convert that to mp3!)

Wouldn't it change for each journey with different TMs? It'd be easy for say Class 377s automated announcements, but you might end up with:
[female]The Next stop is Derby. Change for Nottingham [end]
[male] The Next Stop is Burton On Trent.
for Voyager announcements

Could you not record your own/ask someone to record their own based on the script?

MCR247 - yeah i know what you mean but i hate them pre-recorded annoucements.

Its just easier if i get the recording off someone, my mate is building them into a train for me on one of the simulaters, he says he needs the bing bong, and if i do them myself i wont get the bing bong, and i'll sound silly. Just thought someone could put their MP3 player on voise record when train leaves stations and send me the file.

Just a thought; if you got the bing bong and got a few other people to pretend to be TMs, you could personalise your announcements how you like them. Of course, for routes where perfectly good announcements exist, this makes no difference.

if it's BVE I'd be laughing as i have no knowledge of coding routes yet I know how to put in sound commands
