If all goes to plan, next Saturday I intend to cover some new lines in East Anglia, with a one day Anglia ranger. I'm leaving early Saturday, probably before the ticket office at Hemel Hempstead opens. I can buy my tickets beforehand.

I shall be starting in Hemel Hempstead and using my Network card to Cambridge. I've asked at a London Midland station before about rover tickets and they were unable to find requested ticket.. Firstly can I purchase the rover at the booking office in Hemel and does anyone know the code, that maybe helpful to the booking clerk?

Yes, of course.

There should be a Rangers and Rovers menu on the TIS, and the code is AP1.

It can also be issued as CBG to K285, but it may not come out right. Price is £18.50.

What's it called? It's called Cumbernauld
Regarding the code, it is AP1.

I have previously purchased the rover at Glasgow with no problems.

I am unsure if Hemel Hempstead is able to issue it or not. If not, try either Watford Junction or London Euston, as they are both Intercity stations.

EDIT: bb21 has posted something similar to me.

I think the code is AP1

http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=129226 has more information.

You can also get them on some of the ticket machines at Cambridge and Ely.
