Yesterday evening I purchased a ticket from Paddington Advance Ticket office (2052308736) for 1A 1C with a Family & Friends Railcard.

I have just gone to put them in my ticket wallet and found a couple of 'odd' things about them.

1st.

Although the Tickets were Purchased In One Transaction (& recieved one reciept) the payment method printed on the two tickets is different:

I paid using the following methods:

£10 Rail Travel Voucher = Code 'W'
£8.30 Cash = Code 'M'

Usually when I pay Part RTV & Part Cash what happens is that both tickets state 'W'.

What is the correct way of doing this?

On these tickets it shows in the 'Passenger Count' Section only the Ages on the ticket - so for example

Child
BLANK
ONE

What I usually find is that both Ages are shown but either Adult or Child would be shown NIL: For Example

Adult Child
ONE NIL

Again why is this?

Sorry I had to upload the Images as PDF's due to Image File Size issues.

I've just had a thought - are any of these 'differences' to local issue (TVM's etc...) going to draw unwanted attention to the tickets?

Transportphoto, I can't really help you. But, in my experience in Glasgow (ex-SPT area), the way the "adult and child" bit is printed has been like this for some time now; ie, only the "adult" or "child" is printed, and not:

Adult - Child
Nil - One

as usual.

I hope you understand what I mean! For some time now, only one "age" has been shown I think.

Oh right, It must be a different system then!

I asked because what I bought from my local station last week still showed both!

Any more comments for any more?

When entering vouchers, on Star the user needs to select which ticket the voucher is going towards the cost of, this can cause as in your case, the tickets to properly show where part payments apply.
