Hello Mate
I was a Fireman then Driver at Saltley, from 1963 till 2006, and I remember Ron Pope very well, I was his mate on several occasions after he moved to Saltley,he certainly was a great man to work with and I have many happy memories of "trips" with him,it was very sad when he "left us",he will certainly be well remembered by myself and all his workmates at Saltley.

Hi Saltley man thanks for your reply if you have any stories of working with ron i would love to hear about them, i no he was a character larger than life and his language could turn the air blue but inside he was as soft as a brush and had a heart of gold providing you didn't get on the wrong side of him.
