Seems no-one bothers checking for tickets or asking for them despite a Guard on-board

Both times I was going to pay but the first time was told to sit down and the Guard would tell me when I needed to alight. Great service but no revenue ! Second time the machine was broken

Card only now I think

Is this similar in Manchester ? Trams are easy to get on and off so ticketless travel must be a problem

Third time I couldn't pay either so went free from the Central Station to The Museum Quarter

Not complaining really;)
