Can anyone tell me why on sites such as realtimetrains & opentraintimes you can enter Wembley Central and get data for London Underground, Overground as well as mainline trains operated by Southern. But if you do likewise for Chalfont & Latimer or Amersham you only get Chiltern Trains?

Is it anything to do with. In one case national rail are allowed to pass over London Underground tracks whilst in the other London Underground are allowed over Network Rail tracks? If so, which is which?

The Bakerloo line uses Network Rail tracks from Queens Park to Harrow & Wealdstone.

Chiltern uses London Underground infrastructure from Harrow-on-the-Hill to Amersham.

Thanks! My educated guess was about right then.

The same applies to stretches of the District Line. Only those running out to Richmond are shown however iirc, and not the whole schedule.

Stations between Wimbledon Park and East Putney inclusive are there on realtimetrains, as you'd expect, showing the fairly significant number of SWT movements - around 20 per day, 3 in service.

The LU part of Wimbledon station itself is shown separately though, as Wimbledon L.U.L. Can anyone explain the logic behind that? Quail Vol 5 suggests there's an LT/NR boundary in the 'underground' station throat, but presumably (like the rest of the route as far as East Putney) the station is also signalled by NR? I'm aware LU own the route by the way, to save discussion time...

"Wimbledon LUL" is a separate timing point to "Wimbledon", just as "Wembley Central D.C." is a different timing point to "Wembley Central".

It is probably so that the District line trains don't appear on the live departure boards for Wimbledon.
