To die in a monumental car crash {at least 150mph}!!

To drink myself to death!!

I was going to ask you how you could possibly do both....
....but then I realised that you could drink so much to make you drunk enough to cause a crash at 150mph and be killed in it.

Exactly how I used to think!

Been drinking heavily for over 20 years now-

Was hospitalized 3 years ago with an unknown heart problem(they put it down to a virus in the end).
You need to spend a week on a cardiac ward listening to old men screaming in agony all night, watching stroke victims wander around in confusion(one even tried to climb into bed with me-he thought I was his wife:-0) and seeing the bed next to you changed because the guy has died.

When you're 23 stone and have lost your wife and kids and home.

Nothing glamorous about drinking yourself to death.

Trust me.

And I still drink heavily.

Not much else left now.....but hardly rock and roll. Don't believe the hype.....

Which model monaro or is it the newer VXR.
Interested cos looking to buy a mid life crisis flying machine when the house sale is completed, contemplating VXR,TVR, Audi S5 or RS4, E type, Evo x etc?

Any fast car advice?

Last motor I had even approaching sporty was a 1995 V6 Probe( its still in my garage, dead but not forgotten). Seemed like a good idea at the time but you live and learn...

Need something that is satisfying to drive but can leave in the garage and sleep at night in the North East.

- To get all of the HST power cars done for haulage.

- To get a permanent job, one that I like doing and will stick for a good length of time.

- To get a car, house, etc.

- To one day go beyond Europe to the US, Australia or Japan.

- To do an ALR in the UK and explore much more of Europe by train.

Bog standard stuff, perhaps, but there we go.

Skoda Octavia VRS, Mazda RX8, Vauxhall Monaro VXR {V8 6.0L}.

Got to admit the Skoda is pretty high up on the list. VRS for everday use, (with a secondhand TVR for weekends/mad blasts/oily hands). Bang for bucks almost unbeatable and capable on the bends yet sleeper enough to avoid too much chav attention.
Never really thought about the Mazda, rotary engines are good now but the garage trade still doesn't seem to have caught on. 4 doors too!
The vauxhall sounds superb and goes like the proverbial-suspect it may be a money pit though-mad fuel use and huge depreciation-unless it ends up a classic in the mould of the Lotus Carltons.
When you have to pay the CSA and go back to live at dads you got to have something to enjoy apart from the pub though

Oh and back on topic. Ambitions.
Ride the shinkansen. Preferably after crossing Asia on the trans Siberian.
Travel on the rocky mountain express
And the Darjeeling
Do the Polish steam runs (should be soon)
Fly in a douglas dc-3
And a b707
Drink in every real ale pub in britain
and Germany
Own a Gardner engined Bristol RE

Find a gorgeous brunette with a penchant for fat alcoholic transport enthusiasts who doesn't stab or burn you with cigarettes.....

I have a Mk4 Astra and the insurance is quite low compared to other similar sized cars. It still costs too much though... :roll:
