I buy quite a lot of stuff from Amazon (this thread isn't for a debate on whether I should or not) and always collect at a locker if offered for that item.
One thing I've noticed is that when you do the collection the display shows e.g. "Open locker #3" to press to open it. But that number appears to have no basis, other than that I've never seen a number higher than 3. If you have stuff in more than one it gives you a button for the other locker, but the numbers again seem arbitrary, e.g. sometimes you'll get 1 and 3, sometimes 2 and 3 etc. But they clearly aren't the actual number of the individual compartment as they're not consistent and seem never to exceed 3.
Anyone know how it's derived or if it's just random?
