Amazing ability to bend your body

We were discussing being a Contortionist today after someone read about this woman in America who in one of her most incredible acts, she shoots an arrow from a bow to a target in the distance - using only her feet and toes.

One of my sons girlfriend used to click her fingers to disjoint them and then bend them backwards

Is this genetic or can anyone be a contortionist?

Definitely genetic - a lot depends on bone ratios and the flexibility of cartilage.
(Of course, you don't have to be a contortionist to take up archery...just go to a club near you)

I have always wanted to have a go at it, was very good with a rifle years ago (target shooting), not sure if I can do one I can do the other though.
