Early in September, I bought an Advance ticket from London to Westbury for this weekend. The ticket says that I can only take the train at 0727.
When I got to Paddington station this morning, I found that there are emergency engineering works and there are no direct trains. I decided to travel anyway and my journey was delayed by more than an hour.
As I bought the ticket before the engineering works became known (otherwise it would not say 0727, a service which no longer exists), am I entitled to compensation?
