am i being thick --- email notifications ??

looked everywhere cant find how to activate email notifications ???
does this forum support them or could it be my settings on my computer[lap top ]o_O
also is there a delay on new thread to be approved before they get posted ??
just checked and everything already ticked in "alert preferences "

edited it after you posted to say" just checked and everything already ticked in "alert preferences "but no notification so assume somthing my end any suggestions ??
and that answers the bit about being delayed approved :D

You're sure your e-mail address is correct, and have you checked any spam filters and junk mail folders?

i havent got a real idea how chopped ham filters work but no emails from here off any sort have reached my email address
as for wrong email address being a possiblity but dont you need to give the accurate address to register :o

How it works depends on who provides your e-mail address. Look in their help section (if you use GMail, Outlook.com or the likes), or have a chat with your ISP if they provide it. :)
as for wrong email address being a possiblity but dont you need to give the accurate address to register :o

i have one email address and one only the same for approaching 15 years it may actually be longer

It sounds like your notifications are being marked as junk/spam - without knowing which email service you use, it's difficult to provide specific instructions on how to find it, though. Your email provider will no doubt have a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page that could assist. I've used GMail for as long as I can remember, and they still get it wrong from time to time.

To the OP; you need to select the “and receive email notifications” checkbox. As far as I can see this is not currently shown as being selected.

I can change the settings for you in Admin Panel if you want me to.

its pefect because often i get carried away forget punctuation full stops paragraphs and
my posts are so difficult to read so no one answers them lol

only joking i am trying to remember to make them user freindly but old habits die hard ;)
